Anthropic launches Claude Docs and Slides, merges Cowork into 'One Claude' to take on Gemini

They are two tools inside Claude that let you create documents and presentations directly from a chat, then export, edit, and share them with other users — similar in spirit to Google Docs and Slides.

It means Claude no longer separates plain chat from productivity tools. Any conversation can now invoke Cowork, Design, and Artifacts automatically based on what the task requires, without switching interfaces.

All three compete for AI-powered office productivity. Gemini is native to Google Workspace and Copilot to Microsoft 365, while Claude starts from a unified chat interface and exports to common formats — an advantage for teams working across mixed toolchains.

Teams can pilot the tools on non-sensitive tasks to assess Arabic output quality, but full enterprise adoption requires verifying data processing locations, retention policies, and compliance with regional data protection laws first.
