AI Agents Instinct and Meta's Muse Both Add Phone Call Capabilities

They are consumer-facing AI agents, one from Instinct and one from Meta (Muse), which recently added the ability to place actual phone calls to book restaurants and cancel subscriptions.

Traditional assistants respond to simple commands, while these agents execute multi-step tasks over the phone autonomously, such as negotiating a reservation or completing a subscription cancellation.

The technology is still early-stage, but it opens opportunities for hospitality and services sectors, provided privacy and regulatory compliance are addressed before broad adoption.
